Iris has heartworm and is currently under treatment for it. Her foster family hopes to adopt her.
Iris is a beautiful German Shepherd. She was rescued by our humane investigators after she was left for two weeks by her owner in her backyard. She was very thin when she came to us but is gaining weight steadily. She was shy and bit timid when she arrived but is warming up nicely.
Iris's favorite thing in the world is play fetch... she would play non stop! At the time of this writing we have only had her about 5 days, and we still need to get her spayed and up to date on shots. That will give her more time to get comfortable and for us to get to know her.

All our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. This gives us the ability to really get to know the animals we have available and find them families that are a good fit for them based on their personalities. We do not have a shelter to visit the animals.
